ABOUT MIKE WELSH
Mike Welsh spent the last twenty three years managing a successful business, volunteering in the community and helping to raise his family in Allentown. Now he is prepared to use this broad experience to represent our interests as the next Lehigh County Commissioner At Large.

After receiving a degree in Business Management from DeSales University in 1985, Mike became a business representative for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Today, Mike is part of the AC Thompson Insurance and Financial Services Co in Allentown. Mike's 23 plus years in the insurance industry has earned him a reputation of integrity and trust with his clients.

Welsh Announces Candidacy for
Lehigh County Commissioner

It is time for elected government officials to put the needs of those they represent first and not the special interests of local party leaders or significant campaign financiers.

It is time for county government to realize that the days of wasteful program spending and out of control wage and benefits growth are coming to an end. We need leaders who are not so far out of the mainstream that they have an inability to reach across the table when challenged so as to meet the needs of the county.

I believe it is time for county government to focus on core government services and get out of the business of funding programs that are not necessary or should be supported by the private sector or the community at large.
